Comments from some happy owners of past year's pups.
The Venus pups are beautiful as usual. I always enjoy the pictures of puppies on your web
site. Just a quick update on our two. Nate spends a few minutes every evening with Galt on
the retrieving table in the back yard. I can see the improvement from just a couple of weeks
ago. Next weekend dove season opens here in Kansas and Nate would like to have Galt
retrieve doves for him. It will be interesting to see how he responds.
Dagny (we call her Dag) is just a doll. Nate works with her every evening after Galt's lesson
and she is so quick to learn something new you just want to pinch yourself. Her points in the
backyard for flies are picture perfect and intense. Nothing distracts her. My neighbors stand
at the fence and watch her. She is truly a sight to behold. And she has that sweet, loving
personality like Galt has that makes you want to smile everytime you see her. Nate was
loving and playing around with both of them the other day and said, "Do Neil and Judy
produce the greatest pups or what?" I agreed. All that wonderful hunting instinct and all that
gentle and calm pet appeal. The best of both worlds. Nate and I are glad we found you on
the internet.
Good luck with all your pups.
We promote your pups and your web site whenever we can. Telma Reed, Olathe, Kansas.
Keep me posted on the upcoming litter, I think I may be able to place
a pup or so. Only because you raise the most beautiful puppies on earth! A few of my friends
and I watch this show on cable called hunting with Hank and they just love the style of this breed
of dog and it's tender disposition towards it's master. When they saw Belle and her awesome
beauty one of the more wealthy fellas said he was gonna show me and get two of them. Belle
and my wife have made a habit of watching T.V. on the couch from 7 to 9 in the evening and mind
you she is not fond of animals on her furniture or in her house! I think she might be taken by her
charm... I have tried for 12 years to get her interested in dogs being part of the family and this is as
far as I have ever gotten. I get home from work and Belles in the house playing and frolicking with the
boys and that is genuinely music to my ears. Tim Lancaster, Tulare, Ca.
To update you on the progress and status of my setter that I got
from you is a real pleasure. Cody, is what I would call totally broke. A
professional like yourself would probably want to iron out a couple of wrinkles, but all in all
she is just what I want. She is very sure of herself, like a statue on point and will hold forever,
never creeps, totally yard broke, and enjoys obeying. Excellent nose and
knows how to use it. Likes to wind and keeps her head high and tail snapping. She is very
stylish in the field as well as on birds. She very seldom needs directions, if ever, to be placed
into proper hunting conditions. She seems very natural and not mechanical at all. Cody is all
business. She is a pleasure to hunt and basically all I have to do is walk behind her. If she happens to be missing
a little over her check in time, I better go look where I last saw her because 9 times out of 10
she will be standing. On the down side is her retrieving. She will stay around and help me
hunt dead; however, once the bird is found she will usually pick it up, look for me and drop it.
I think she would be a candidate for force breaking if I decided to do it. She is very gentle with
birds in her mouth and at times will bring them all the way. Whenever you want to take a look
at her just me a call. I have never had her on tame birds but I think she could handle them.
I think you have some mighty good stock. Tom Kellam, Eastern Shore of Va. (Cody - Mac/Amy litter)
